Copy the link to one public video
Open the individual video and copy its share link or page address. Use content you own or have permission to save. A profile, channel or playlist is not a single video. Private posts, live streams and sources that require sign-in are not supported.
Check the formats offered for that link
Paste the link into the online form and choose Find video. Check the title and source duration, then choose an available MP4 or WebM option. MP3 saves audio only and needs an accessible audio track. Changing the format does not add detail or restore missing sound.
Know what the online file will contain
Both video and audio start at the beginning and save up to 5 minutes. A longer source with a known duration can still be analysed. Video keeps its aspect ratio within 1280×720 pixels without enlarging smaller sources; portrait output is also at most 720px high.
Prepare one file and follow its progress
Choose Prepare download once and keep the page open while the task waits, downloads and processes. You can cancel a running task. Starting duplicate tasks does not speed up the queue. No customer account, app installation or credits are required; maintenance or short-window anti-abuse checks can temporarily stop requests.
Save the ready file to your device
When the result is ready, choose Save file before the temporary file expires. Your browser controls the destination, usually its configured Downloads folder. A ready message alone does not mean the file is on your device. If the browser blocks the save, read its message; do not disable security protections.
If a link fails or expires
Check whether the original video is still public and readable without signing in. An expired selection needs a fresh analysis. For a failed task, check the error before retrying or choosing another offered format. Never send passwords or cookie files. A public page can still refuse server access, so not every link will work.
Privacy
ClapClip sends your submitted URL to its download server and contacts the source platform to prepare the media. Files and task information are stored temporarily and expire automatically; save your file promptly. An essential session cookie keeps your tasks private to your browser. Hosting providers may retain technical access logs. Do not submit private links, credentials or cookie files. With your consent, Google Analytics measures site visits and may store analytics cookies and process browser/device information. Our page-view code removes URL queries and fragments and does not send submitted video links or task details. You can decline or withdraw consent using Analytics preferences; downloading remains available. No advertising tags are installed.
Public links, no credentials
ClapClip never asks for your platform password or cookie files. If a source requires sign-in, use the source platform's own download option.
